Welcome to the Canton Fiber Arts Guild. Initially called the Canton Weavers and Spinners Guild at the first meeting in 1978, this group has been meeting ever since. In 2016 the group name was changed to the Canton Fiber Arts Guild. This name change was enacted in order to fully reflect eh various interests of its members.
The guild plans to continue its non-profit status and only changes $20 per member for yearly dues. These funds go towards the payment of guest speakers, class materials, etc. Board members do not take payment for their time or work.
Meetings are held every second Wednesday of the month from September until May. In order to keep costs minimal, meeting are held in various local libraries and other third-spaces. Refreshments are not typically provided, but members and visitors are encouraged to bring something to drink or snack on.
The guild does own various forms of fiber arts equipment that is available for rental by guild members.
